Cape Schanck Lighthouse

On the Lightstation grounds are two guest houses which can be booked by individual room or as a whole. Both these cottages have been residents of the lighthouse keepers. They have views of the lightstation grounds, a verandah faces west and are only a few steps walk to magnificent views of Bass Straight and the rugged coast line. The Cape Schanck Lightstation (with a fully functioning beacon) offers visitors a unique glimpse of the past. The historic light is one of the few still operating as it did during the early 1800's. Surrounded by magnificent historic buildings, the Cape Schanck Lightstation allows visitors to recreate in their imaginations the simple life of a bygone era.
