Driving Info:
A very popular option, as it allows for flexibility along this scenic two and a half hour drive. The road is sealed.
Many rental car companies now allow ordinary cars (two wheel drive) to travel to Cape Tribulation. Please check with hire company when hiring a car.
The Daintree River Ferry runs from 6:00am until 12:00pm and current charges are approximately AUD20.00 (subject to change without notice) per vehicle for a return trip. Buses, vehicles with trailers and motor homes etc, higher fees are due.

This is a heritage listed rainforest area. There is no mobile telephone access in the area and limited internet access (dial up available through reception internet cafe or wireless is available in the Cape Restaurant (extra charges apply).
What to bring:
Loose fitting clothes t-shirts, shorts. A pair of long pants is recommended.
A light coat or jacket for May-September
Covered shoes for walking and hiking
Flip-flops/Thongs for the beach
Sunscreen and a hat.

Resort Closure:
Cape Tribulation Resort and Spa has become a seasonal retreat and will be closed from 1 December to 30 April each year.
