Important Information:
The property has withdrawn from the AAA rating system, pending upcoming soft refurbishment of the hotel. The property remains committed to providing the high level of amenities and service as previously provided and as such they have therefore self rated the property as 4.*
The refurbishment has already started with the following either near or fully completed in all guest rooms to date
- New curtains Near completion
- Valances and scatter cushions on beds - Completed
- LCD Hi-Def flat screen televisions - Completed
- Change of linen supplier and all new linen - Completed
Further refurbishment over the coming months and anticipated for completion by the end of September 2010 include:
- New carpet in all guest rooms, corridors and public areas.
- Repainting of all guest rooms, corridors and public areas.
- New light fittings in all guest rooms, bathrooms and corridors.
- French polishing of existing desk, chairs and timber furniture in guest rooms.
- Replacement of beds.
- New artwork in all guest rooms and corridors.
- New stationary bike, treadmill and rowing machines for the Fitness Centre.
Impact is expected to guests for the above items will be negligible as the works being carried out will be scheduled to work hours (9am-5pm Mon - Fri) and are largely non intrusive noise wise.
The property is currently also in negotiation with the Owners and Contractors for refurbishment either in full or part to upgrade the Kitchen and Kurrajong Restaurant, bathrooms in guest rooms and new guest lift. Should these negotiations be successful the property will notify all of their product partners with the good news, any expected impact and time frame.
It is the management's intention that once the works have been completed September 2010 AAA Tourism ratings will be then requested and re-rated the property. From discussions held previously with AAA it is expected that this work will attain a minimum 4* standard if not higher.
This refurbishment is part of the Owners and Constellation Hotels commitment to providing quality accommodation options and will further complement the recent refurbishment completed at our sister property, Grand Chifley Adelaide.
