We are located on the corner of Knuckey and Smith St with our main entrance in Shadforth Lane.
From the Airport:
When exiting the Airport turn left on McMillans Road, next turn left on Bagot Road, take the overpass (go right) onto the Stuart Highway and follow into the city. The Stuart Highway becomes Daly Street, turn left on Mitchell Street, next turn left on Knuckey Street, turn left into Shadforth Lane and you have arrived at the main entrance to the Hotel.

Pre Registration / Early Check In:
- If a guest requires a guaranteed check in for arrival prior to 2:00pm then Pre-registration is required. Pre-registration is where the guest has booked and paid for the night prior to guarantee the availability of the room for immediate check in.
Late Check Out:
- Late check out past the hotels check out time can only be confirmed and organized on the day of departure or on some occasions the day prior to departure. To guarantee a late check out past the hotel's check out time the guest needs to book and pay the night of departure.
Identification:
- All guests are required to provide Identification (ID) during check in for security purposes. ID may also be requested at various times on request by staff to adhere to hotel security policy and procedures.
Check In:
- A credit card pre-authorisation or a AUD100 cash deposit with photo identification is required when check-in.
Non Smoking Policy:
- The Darwin Central Hotel is a 100% non smoking property with no smoking allowed throughout the whole hotel. Any guest found in breach of the Hotel's non smoking policy will be charged additional cleaning fees of a minimum AUD200.
Refurbishment valid from mid January to mid March 2010:
- The property will be undertaking a refurbishment of bathrooms and soft furnishings from mid January to the expected completion date of the mid March 2010. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday with work requiring the use of electrical tools being done between 10.30 and 11.30 and 1.30 to 3.30pm daily.Though there will be some use of electrical tools it is anticipated that there will little impact on hotel guests over this period.
