Hayman Island is the most northerly island of the Whitsunday group. It lies 28 kilometres from Shute Harbour and about 900 kilometres north of Brisbane.

Hayman is committed to providing a very special holiday experience for young guests and in addition to providing child friendly accommodation, boasts a magical children's activities setting at Hernando's Hideaway, an exquisite colonial cottage nestled in gardens near the marina. This unique site is home to the Kids Club, for children aged 05 to 12 years, and the Creche, for the little ones aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Hernando's Hideaway offers a spacious natural and safe environment, under the supervision of qualified Hayman childcare staff.

Transfer Info:
Hayman operates launch transfers from Hamilton Island Great Barrier Reef Airport and Shute Harbour Airlie Beach. Transfers are provided at an additional cost.
1. From Hamilton Island:
Timetable varies daily from Hamilton Island to/from Hayman Island depending on arrival time of flights to Hamilton Island
Airport. The launch meets any Jetstar/Virgin flights that have Hayman guests on them as long as they have been notified of the clients arrival details. Clients to confirm departure time 24 hours prior to travel.
2. Shute Harbour:
Hayman operates launch transfers on the vessel "Sun Experience" from Shute Harbour. Clients should check in a minimum of 15 minutes prior to departure time. Travel time to Hayman is approximately 60 minutes.

Hayman Room Closures and Refurbishment valid from 19MAY10-30NOV10:
- From 19 May 2010 the Beachfront Rooms will close for major refurbishment. The Beachfront Suites project is being staged to ensure there is minimum inconvenience to the Hayman guest experience and is located away from major accommodation wings and public areas. All Hayman services and facilities, including restaurants, pools, beaches, retail, resort and reef activities, will remain available for the enjoyment of guests during this period of enhancement to the Hayman beachfront.
- As a result of the Beachfront Suite project, Retreat rooms and the Beach Villa will also close for the duration of the refurbishment. ~~~~
