The Hunter Valley Resort is located in the very heart of the Hunter Valley Wine Country on 70 secluded acres, and is an easy 2 hours drive north of Sydney . The resort offers the complete Wine Country Experience.
Nowhere in Australia is there a family owned lodge being operated and marketed as one facility with an all day restaurant offering fabulous food, 4?star accommodation, their own great wines from the Wine Tasting Cellars, as well as the Hunter Valley's largest winery and The Bluetongue Brewery. All this is nestled within its own 38 year old vineyard.
Unique to the resort is the Hunter Valley Wine School. This is a two hour certificate course looking at winemaking, a tour of the winery to see how wine is made, and learning why wine tastes the way it does.
Other resort facilities include mountain bikes, tennis, a pool, heated spa and walking tracks. Located just minutes away is hot air ballooning, horse and carriage tours, antique shops, two championship golf courses... not to mention some 150 wineries to visit!

Important Information:
Restaurant Christmas Hours:
San Martino Restaurant will be open for Breakfast from 7:30am to 11:00am but will be closed at night on 25DEC08 (Christmas night) for dinner.
The San Martino Restaurant will re-open for breakfast on 26DEC08 (Boxing Day) as normal from 7:30am until 11:00am. Dinner is from 6:00pm last reservation at 8:30pm on Boxing Day night.
The Bluetongue Brewery Café will be also be closed on 25DEC08. The Bluetongue Brewery Café will be open from 10:00am on 26DEC08 business as normal.
Other Restaurants in the area are open for a Christmas Lunch such as Tuscany - The Mill Restaurant which is located directly across the road within walking distance. Bookings are required in advance.
A cook your own Barbeque pack at AUD25.00 per person is available to guests please let the reception staff know at least 48 hours in advance or as soon as you can. The Barbeque pack includes a choice of steak, chicken or sausages, salads, bread rolls, baked potatoes, oil, sauces, utensils, plates and cutlery. Please be advised that if the day has been declared a total fire ban this option may not be available.
Anti-pasto / cheese platters are available for guests to take back to their rooms at AUD25.00 for 2 people. For pre-orders please contact the Hunter Resort.
