Lizard Island is an exclusive boutique style resort, Located one hours flight north of Cairns in Tropical North Queensland. The island is remote, ruggedly beautiful and surrounded by some of the finest beaches and clearest waters of any Great Barrier Reef islands.
Children under ten years are not catered for on the island. Couples and honeymooners regularly visit Lizard Island to enjoy the natural beauty and seclusion.
The island houses forty exclusive and private rooms of varying styles. Sunset Point Villas are stylish elevated villas with ocean views and access to a string of secluded beaches. Anchor Bay Suites have spacious open plan design with direct access to the beach. Anchor Bay Rooms are set in tropical gardens with some views across Anchor Bay. The Pavilion has spectacular 270 degree views over Sunset Point and Anchor Bay.
The clear emerald waters surrounding Lizard Island are home to kaleidoscopic coral reefs and countless tropical fish. Activities include snorkelling and Great Barrier Reef trips. Scuba diving is available just off the island. A world famous dive location, the Cod Hole, is close by.
The island's restaurant, Ospreys, has an open verandah overlooking the beach and ocean in a relaxed and intimate setting. Lizard cuisine showcases the finest local produce with emphasis on local seafood, lush tropical fruits, premium product and the diversity of cultures that have shaped the Australian food scene. Romantic dining right on the beach in a private marquee offers a special experience.
The Azure Spa, offers a range of massages, facials and other body treatments.

From Cairns Airport
- Daily flights between Cairns and Lizard Island are available with Hinterland Aviation. Travel time is approximately 60 minutes. Transfers are an additional cost.
- Please note, passengers on connecting flights to Lizard Island may be limited to 1 suitcase and 1 carry on item. Limit
per person of 32kg for suitcases and 4kg for hand luggage applies. This baggage restriction will be enforced and excess
baggage will have to be stored at the clients own expense.
- A charter option is available from Cairns. Please contact Skytrans direct on 07 4046 2462 to book a charter flight.

Refurbishment:
A soft refurbishment will commencing in the Lizard Island kitchen on 17 March 2010 and is expected to be completed by 21 June 2010. During this period there will be minimal noise and disruption to guests and the majority of the work will be restricted to time periods outside of breakfast, lunch and dinner service. ~~~~
Cancellation Policy:
Valid for 01APR09-31MAR11:
- No cancellation fee if booking cancelled 30 days or more prior to travel.
- 1 night cancellation fee if booking cancelled 29-15 days prior to travel.
- No refund if booking cancelled 14 days or less prior to travel.
- No refund in the event of a no-show.
Wedding Package (does not include accommodation) valid for 01APR09-31MAR11:
- Loss of AUD500.00 deposit if cancelled 91 days prior to travel.
- 75% of package cancellation fee if cancelled 90-31 days prior to travel.
