Rupertswood Mansion
3 Macedon Street
, Macedon VIC 3429
Rupertswood Mansion is a place steeped in history, perhaps best known as the birthplace of The Ashes. Built in 1874 by Sir William Clarke, Australia's first baronet, as his country residence. It is a remarkable architectural expression of the more genteel Victorian era.
Recently Rupertswood Mansion was restored to its original 1874 elaborate colour scheme, embellished throughout with gold gilding and marbling. The mansion abounds with original furniture and paintings. It also offers magnificent photo opportunities both inside the mansion and throughout the extensive gardens.
Accommodation is available in one of our ten beautifully appointed rooms.
