The business district is within easy reach by public transport. The Somerset MRT station is directly opposite the hotel, offering a convenient alternative to travel around the island.

The exterior is white with black windows, it is a medium sized building that is easily recognised amongst the myriad other building by a onion shaped restaurant in front on Orchard Road.

The large lobby is spacious but lacks furniture. There is a large sandstone mural depicting an Indonesian legend. Stairs lead to restaurants upstairs but it is plain and uninspiring.
