Hamilton Island has advised of the commencement of new facilities for the Reef View Hotel on Hamilton Island. Commencing Monday 12 September, Hamilton Island will be building a 35 metre tropical swimming pool in the gardens of the Reef View Hotel, which will be completed before Christmas. Hamilton Island expects the construction of the swimming pool to cause minimal disruption to guests of the Reef View Hotel and Whitsunday Holiday Apartments. The time of greatest impact will be in the first three to four weeks of construction starting 12 September. Work will be restricted to the hours of 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday through to Sunday, as this is a time when Hamilton Island finds that the majority of guests are out enjoying the island's facilities or touring to the Great Barrier Reef, Whitehaven Beach or nearby islands. This is an exciting time for the largest hotel on Hamilton Island as they add to their selection of swimming pools for the convenience of their guests. Cancellation Policy

A fee of 14% of the total cost of your booking applies if cancelled plus the following charges below if applicable.

Valid for 01APR08-30DEC08, 01JAN09-31MAR09:
- 1 night cancellation fee will be charged for bookings cancelled 7-4 days prior to travel.
- No refund if booking cancelled 3 days or less prior to travel or in the event of a no-show or early departure.

Valid for any stay incorporating the night of 31DEC08:
- 1 night cancellation fee will be charged for bookings cancelled prior to and including 31 October 2008.
- No refund if booking cancelled on or after 1 November 2008, or in the event of a no-show or early departure.

Domestic Group Bookings valid for 01APR08-31MAR09:
- 1 night cancellation fee per room will be charged for bookings cancelled or amended 30-8 days prior to travel.
- No refund if booking cancelled or amended 7 days or less prior to travel or in the event of a no-show or early departure.
