Mudgeeraba
At the foot of the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland, the historic timber village of Mudgeeraba retains its village atmosphere, despite the fact that it's only 15 minutes or so from the golden beaches stretching north and south from Surfers Paradise, and just a two-minute drive from one of Australia's most innovative and flashiest shopping precincts - Robina Town Centre.
The Wallaby Hotel, right in the shopping village, is full of character... and characters! The district abounds in arts and craft shops and galleries, and it's within easy reach of many, many wonderful places to visit - like Hinze Dam, lofty Springbrook National Park, while a road called The Panorama will take you to lookouts offering some of the very best views over the Gold Coast.
Mudgeeraba is also within a 15 or 30 minute drive of some of the most diverse and challenging golf courses in the land - courses which bear the design stamp of some of the sports greats including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Greg Norman.
