Wurtulla

This densely populated, surfside suburb of Wurtulla lies within the Kawana Waters precinct about halfway between the Caloundra city centre and Mooloolabah.

Attracted by the mild weather and warm water, southerners and Kiwis flock to winter over in these parts at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast. Local tourist attractions include the Bulcock Beach boardwalk, the replica of Cook's Endeavour, and the Air Museum.

Kawana Waters is a virtual island confined by bushland, mountains and that glorious stretch of beaches. The area also boasts the coast"s second largest shopping centre, Kawana Shopping World.

The Kawana Waters stretch of coast, which is one of the fastest growing residential zones in Queensland, is a picturesque area blessed with great surfing beaches. Two of the more popular surf beaches, Buddina and Wurtulla, are patrolled from September to April. Fishing is also an important plank in the lifestyle in these parts.
