Mount Hotham

Mount Hotham in winter offers a huge range of snow activities - of course the main ones are skiing and snowboarding, catering to every level of ability. Mount Hotham is also the home of the Olympic sport of biathlon in Australia, and even raw beginners can have a go at this exacting sport. For the well-equipped and experienced, it is also a great base for back country touring, when you can ski on virgin snow all day and set up camp in splendid isolation by night. To ensure your safety in the challenging back country environment, Mount Hotham Ski Patrol runs Snow Safety courses.

In the summer, Mount Hotham is a great base for exploring the Victorian High Country. Activities include bushwalking, mountain bike riding, horse riding and fly fishing. The Great Alpine Road passes through Mount Hotham and a tour by car is a great way to experience the varied and beautiful scenery in this part of Victoria.
